Conference Policies

Peer Review Process

Submitted Abstracts received by the publicized due date(s) will be reviewed by appointed GSDI 15 Conference Directors and/or Track Directors. They will NOT undergo full peer review.

Authors of Abstracts that are selected for presentation will be encouraged to then submit full Papers that will be reviewed by three Reviewers if the author(s) elect to have the paper peer reviewed or by members of the Programme/Scientific Committee if the paper is submitted but NOT for peer review. If accepted, these will form the basis for the GSDI 15 Conference Proceedings that will be published as an open access digital publication from GSDI Association Press.

Some full Papers may be selected for expanding into longer contributions to be published in a peer-reviewed GSDI 15 Conference Book, to be available as an open access book from GSDI Association Press following the conference (or prior to the conference, if time allows).

Authors of a small number of full Papers will also be given the opportunity to prepare expanded articles based on their Papers for publication in a special issue of the International Journal for SDI Research (IJSDIR), published by the European Commission. The special edition would appear early in 2017, following peer review of the submitted articles following IJSDIR rules.

Archive Access Policy

The presentations that make up the current and archived conferences on this site have been made open access and are freely available for viewing, for the benefit of authors and interested readers.
